Throughout our journey of establishing and operating Kasguma General Hospital, we’ve faced numerous local and global disasters that have profoundly impacted the lives of people in the Kasguma region and beyond. In 2019, a devastating earthquake struck just 9 miles from our hospital, causing significant damage and loss of life. Our medical team was on the front lines, providing urgent care and first aid to those affected.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought new challenges. Understanding the dire situation faced by many families due to lockdowns, we quickly organized food distribution efforts, delivering essential supplies to over 500 families and providing more than 2000 blankets to those in need.
Our commitment to disaster relief is unwavering, and we continue to support our community through every crisis, ensuring that those affected receive the help they need to recover and rebuild.
